Covid-19 Update (as of 17/03/2020)
After continued monitoring of the Covid-19 pandemic and the government’s advice, we have made the decision to reschedule the Oulton Park Duathlons until Sunday 4th October 2020.
Yesterday the government did not ban mass participation events. What they did do was say that people should avoid non-essential travel and avoid contact with others. They also advised reducing social contact and increasing social distancing. With this advice we have no other option but to reschedule the Oulton Park Duathlons.
The team are really disappointed as they have been working hard to ensure we were able to deliver a great event. We will continue to work on delivering an exceptional event experience on 4th October 2020.
If you are unable to participate on the new date we also have a triathlon scheduled on 13th September. We are happy to accommodate you on this date
If we haven’t heard from you before the 6th April 2020 you will be automatically transferred to the new date of 4th October 2020. You do not have to do anything and you will be contacted nearer the time regards the details.
Whilst we wanted to put on a great event, we absolutely do not want to compromise the safety of participants, volunteers and spectators nor the local / wider community. We hope you understand and appreciate the difficulty in coming to this decision, which has been taken out of our hands.
Please accept our apologies for any disruption that this may have caused and we look forward to making your event experience in October one to remember.

P.S. Virtual Events, whilst we are seeing a plethora of these crop up we have a few clever people working on a couple of ideas.. This will be done as a cost neutral activity to us if we get something going:-)
Early Season warm up
Whether as an early season warm-up, testing out your bike fit for another event, this is a great event to start the multi-sport year with. With Draft Legal Sprint and Standard distance offerings, the multi lap bike course allows you to check your pacing and splits throughout.
Where is it?
Oulton Park Circuit is a motor racing track close to the small village of Little Budworth, Cheshire, England. It is about 5 miles from Winsford, 13 miles from Chester city centre, 8 miles from Northwich and 17 miles from Warrington, with a nearby rail connection along the Mid-Cheshire Line.

Keep to the right as you take on the track, covering the full 4.3km loop of the track and ensuring you keep plenty in the legs for the uphill drag about 20 minutes in and the fast paced run into transition.
Hard out on the bike for the initial downhill efforts and go crazy round the back straights trying to maintain your pace. You will not find a smoother surface for miles around and a chance to test out your skills in both draft legal and non-drafting racing.
The 2nd Run
Hopefully you will have left plenty in the legs for the last run around the track to make the duathlon.
As you can see the course is not flat but gives a good experience of hills and nice downhills, clean air and no cars to deal with along with being able to use the full width of the International track.
